Assist Aucklanders in making smarter home-building choices, for them and the environment...

If you have ever wanted to make a real difference and help make dreams a reality, whilst protecting the future of the environment, then this role has been tailor made for you.

Following a successful pilot scheme between BRANZ and selected local councils, we've created this brand new role to provide specialist, impartial energy, water and material related advice on home building projects, to ensure better use is made of resources.

You'll get to experience the best of both worlds. Not only will you get to work autonomously by being out and about conducting site visits, you will also form part of our friendly, experienced team within building policy. You will provide both face-to-face and over the phone advice to a wide range of people including ratepayers, designers developers and colleagues within council. You will also be involved with presentations, educational workshops and generally being the face of Eco Design for Auckland City Council.

Needless-to-say, we're looking for a real people person, and networking and relationship building will come as second nature to you. You will have a good understanding of MS Office, and the ability to organise your administrative workload around processes and procedures, whilst maintaining a professional business approach.

A relevant tertiary qualification or technical understanding of the building industry is an essential requirement of this role, partnered with a passion for making a real difference to the built environment of Auckland City.

In return, we offer you a blank canvas to make a real impact, an attractive remuneration package, including ongoing professional development, a car for company use and other benefits associated with working for Auckland City.

Still want to make a difference? Still have the passion?
Then we want to talk to you.........
