Featured Employer Page - what is it and why might I need it?

A Featured Employer Page on the Jobs In Planning web site will be of value to employers (typically Councils) who wish to attract applicants for Planning roles from outside their local area. This means applicants from other parts of the country and possibly international applicants.

There is increasing competition for the attention of Planners who wish to migrate to another country or State. However, an advert which an employer uses to attract local candidates may not be adequate to attract potential applicants from another State or country. Applicants from another State or country may not even know where the Shire or City is located in the context of the country or State as a whole. But even if they are familiar with the geography, they almost certainly will not have the knowledge required to make an informed decision about the prospect of living and working there.

A Council's web site may include some of the information required, but as the web site is designed with local residents in mind, the information required by an non local person is often not immediately obvious on the site and is unlikely to be presented in a single section of the web site.

The aim of the Jobs In Planning Featured Employer Page is to promote the Shire or City as a place to live, and the Council as an employer, at the same time bringing together a wealth of information about living and working in the Shire or City.

A Featured Employer is promoted on the Jobs In Planning web site home page by the employer's logo in the right hand column of the home page. This links to a section of the Jobs in Planning site which is dedicated to the Featured Employer and holds the type information which may be useful to prospective applicants. The page may also link out to other local resources if appropriate.

There is once off setup fee and a monthly charge for a Featured Employer section. These charges may vary depending on the period an employer wishes to be featured on our site.
