Australian Immigration Update - New Laws Effective 2 April 05

For those people who are interested in coming to work in Australia, the immigration laws changed as of 2 April 2005. The changes make it easier and more attractive for professional Planners to come to Australia on either a 457 Business visa or a permanent resident visa from the outset. It also becomes easier and cheaper for Australian employers to sponsor qualified candidates for either type of visa.

The changes include the introduction of Skilled Occupations List (SOL) which is a list of occupations for which Australia wishes to attract migrants. We can confirm that Urban and Regional Planners are on the SOL..

How do I get a visa and permit to live and work in the UK?
